BOO!!!!

What a busy couple of days!! Friday the girls took their costumes to school for their Halloween class parties and for the parade. When they got home, we got fixed up a little and headed back to the school for the big Haloween Carnival. I took my friend Mariann's 3 kids with me since she was sick and we wanted the kids to still go and have fun. (They were so good for me!) It was a really fun night. Then today, Saturday, I took the girls out to lunch to McDonald's and then took them to a party they were invited to. After that, we headed to the church for Trunk or Treat. It was so fun! I brought the girls home and fed them a little dinner and then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Gibbs' house. Of course, we have to ring the door bell and surprise Grandpa! And every year Grandma wears a long Halloween shirt and orange and black striped socks. She loves holidays and always makes a big deal and decorates. Halloween just happens to be her favorite!
Steve's sister and her family met us there and then we all headed over to Rigby to their old neighborhood. They just moved to Idaho Falls a couple of months ago, but they really had a great neighborhood in Rigby that we have always taken the kids to, so that's where we went. It was fun and the kids made a killing on candy!! Ahhh...the holidays! I love this time of year!
Is this not the CUTEST pink and black witch ever??!! She just loved it! Of course it has pink...there is no other color for Megan
Grace loved her purple and black witch costume! I loved the striped tights the best! Her dress kind of fit her funny but she said it wasn't too uncomfortable. It didn't slow her down!
We went to the church before tick or treating for "Trunk or Treat". It was a great turnout and I loved seeing the kids from church all dressed up. So fun!
Grandma Gibbs ROCKS!! She loves Halloween and collects witches. It's always fun to go to Grandma and Grandpa's for trick or treating!

Cole, Abbi Megan and Grace Trick or Treating in Rigby. Cole was Daniel Boone/Davy Crockett, he couldn't decide. Abbi was a Barbie princess and then my 2 witches.

Bear World

Last Saturday we finally went to Bear World. It's less than 5 minutes from our house and we had never been there. Our friend Debra Weeks from Utah, has been volunteering/working there one weekend a month since the opening of this season. She was able to get us in the gate free, so that was AWESOME!! The girls loved it, but Steve really liked it too. We all loved seeing the bears, but grace liked feeding the fish and deer and Megan loved the swan and feeding any animal that would come to her. Great family day!

Latest Happenings

Not too much has been happening lately. The biggest and BEST change is my schedule at work! I now work Monday through Friday 9am to 2 pm. I get to work while the girls are in school. YAY!! I feel so blessed! I really like my job, and the hours are just awesome now!!
Steve has been trucking all over, and I'm not kidding! He went to Baltimore, Maryland and then from there got sent to L.A. He's doing well, but is missing home and his girls.
Grace has lost another tooth...that's 5 now. Megan is mad because she's only lost 1. They are both doing very well in school. Grace excels in Math (thank goodness!) and Megan is a little book worm! I love it! They are good girls most of the time, and I feel lucky to be their mom.We went to Boise for a quick trip to go see the new baby in the family. Ava Jeanettie Kingsbury. She is the sweetest baby! So beautiful! While we had everyone together, Grandma Ruth bought all the grand kids BSU shirts for pictures! So fun! I loved it, but it was such a short trip! Dang it!

It's picture day at the school today. Megan's turned out so cute!!! Thanks Skyla!! Grace wanted the big loopy curls. Ya....didn't turn out, so with the very limited time before the bus she said to just put braids in it. I wish it could have been different for her, but she was happy when she left. That's what's important, not the mom who is obsessing over it!! Let it go, Let it go ..repeat 5 times.

We are alive and well. I promise!

August has turned out busier than July. I didn't think it was possible. It is time for school to start again and we are all happy and excited about it. I may be a little more excited than the girls, tho! Today we went to their school and got them registered. We walked around and they got to see their classrooms and where the bathrooms are. (It seemed to be important) Their classrooms are right next to each other and they are so excited to go now! I paid for their lunches for the time they go in August and then all of September. They better eat everything!! What happened to lunches being .75??? And that was in High School! Ok, done ranting.
After we went to the school, we went to Evans hair school to get their hair cut. My friend Brindy from the gym is graduating next month so I took the girls to her. They loved her!! She was so sweet and funny with them. For some reason, Meg wouldn't talk. Can you imagine that? She would answer questions, but was really quiet and shy. And then there was Grace...she made up for Meg not talking!:) Megan just wanted a trim so her hair would keep growing, but Grace decided she wanted to go a lot shorter. She wants to wear her hair down more, and I told her she needed it to be short so it wouldn't get tangled and messy. So we had Brindy cut 5 inches off!. What a pile of hair! It's cute! I went to work and Grace lost her other front tooth. She left me a message to tell me. So cute!

4th of July

For the 4th of July, I took the girls to the parade in the morning. It was fun and we saw a few people and kids that we know. After the parade, we walked around the park to look at the different vendors, and we got the girls' faces painted. Megan got a pink unicorn on one side and a flag heart on the other. Grace got a moon and stars on one side and a black cat on the other. Steve finally got home and we did our own fireworks out side. Megan is still so cautious with the sparklers. She just still doesn't like them much.

Grace has lost her 3rd tooth now, this one on the top. She looks kinda funny, but way cute. For the first couple days, she talked with a lisp, because she kept sticking her tongue in the hole. She's used to it now, but I'm not quite looking at her and seeing a hole!!

Fun Weekend with Family

The girls and I have had cabin fever really bad!! It has done nothing but rain almost every day since school got out. I decided to go to the other side of Idaho and see family. I stayed with my brother, Paul and his wife Joella. My niece, Kyleigh had a softball tournament, and I was really excited to go and see her play. She won all 3 of her games on Saturday!! On Friday, Paul took his boys to a Father/Sons outing, and Joella and I took all 4 of the girls out to a big park in Meridian and it even had a little splash park. The girls played and played, and Joella and I read our books and talked and got some sun. It was nice to relax, and it was easier for Joella to take it easy and not do much since she's not feeling the greatest being at the end of her pregnancy. (I can't WAIT to meet little Ava!!) On Sunday, everybody got together again at Paul's and we had a yummy BBQ nad Joella made a birthday cake for me, since my birthday was the week before. It was fun! And then we took lots of pictures and Joella got the video camera out too. The kids made up dances to songs and performed them for us. Cutest thing EVER!!!
So glad Joella took this one! (even if I'm in it) I can't think of the last time all 3 of us have been together for a picture.
Paul is LUCKY he has sisters that love him!! I don't know why he has that look on his face. :)

It was Play-Doh MADNESS!!!
It tasted as good as it looks!! Thanks Joella!! It was awesome! I have never had a bundt cake.
Such silly, cute kids!!! Not sure what Grace is doing with her jaw. Whack-o!

A Loose Tooth and 5 Stitches

School is out as of last Friday, and I am now in favor of having school year-round!! Yikes! Anyway...just to catch up a little:
Megan FINALLY has a loose tooth! She is so excited, but sad she isn't in in school to show her teacher and friends. She asks about 6 times a day when it will fall out. She tells AND shows anybody who will listen and look. She is pretty proud! My BABY is getting too big!! Another milestone!
Sunday was an interesting day. Steve's aunt was here visiting from California, and we had a big BBQ so we could all get together to see her and get to visit. Aunt Sonya ROCKS!! so everybody was there. All the kids were out in the pasture playing and for the most part getting along and being fairly good. All of a sudden, Grace came crying to me and saying she hurt her leg. She is given to the dramatics, so I wasn't thinking anything too big that a band-aid can't handle. So I look at it and poked Steve to look at it too and we pretty much agreed that stitches were were in Grace's future. She was crying for a band aid so I went into Grandma's house to get some peroxide and band aids and got Steve's sister to look and make sure we were going to need stitches. She has 3 boys and took look 1 look and agreed that is wouldn't heal right or look very good without stitches. Of course it all happened after Community Care had closed so we HAD to go to the hospital. YUK! We got there a little after 8 and it was packed!! So busy. We had to wait quite a while to get in a room, and then when we did it was another long while. Thankfully, we saw 2 ladies from church and one is a mom to one of the kids in their class. Grace seemed to be calmer after she saw and talked to Abi's mom. So she ended up with 5 stitches, and the Dr. did a great job and was very nice to Grace. It was a big night and we got home at about 10:30. They girls slept in the next morning. Well, for them anyway. 7:45!! WooHoo!! 45 minutes longer than usual. I'll take what I can get.

Kindergarten School Play

Yesterday was Grace and Megan's Kindergarten play. It was Peter Rabbit. They came home a month ago with parts and the songs. Grace had been given the part of Mother Rabbit, and Megan was Mopsy. I teasingly asked Grace, "Are you Mother Rabbit because you're the bossiest?" She assured me that she was chosen because she was the tallest. Megan said that she was chosen to be Mopsy, because maybe she looked like Mopsy in the book. Um...OK! Grandma Gibbs made Gracies apron. She even put a bunny and 3 tulips on it. So adorable! They were both pretty nervous that morning, but I told them they had practiced and would do great. And they did! Grandma and Grandpa Gibbs came and Steve's sister Jennifer and her little girl, Abbi. Steve was sooo glad he was able to make it. The play was was so cute!! Grace really got into her part and was really funny! Megan, was still nervous, but did her part great and smiled a lot.

This is so cute!

OK...I am a mom. I have to brag a little bit sometimes. The girls go to the "After-School" program at their school. We signed them up for everyday, and since I work and fill in shifts, this helps a little sometimes. Yesterday, they had an art class and made things with clay. Megan came home with just multi-colored balls their instructor said would turn to bouncy balls when they dried. grace came home with a ball too, but she had also made something else! I loved it!! It was...SpongeBob!! Made out of different colored clay. She did such a good job! I don't think I could have done as well. It is so cute, I just HAD to post a picture. (Wendy, you're gonna love this!)

Easter Dresses and Conference

Thanks goodness I have GREAT friends and relatives that send me stuff for the girls to do during Conference!! This was the first year in a LONNNGG time that I was really able to watch. The girls did so good with all of the activities! Steve even stayed awake doing word searches! I even printed out more coloring pages for Sunday. So Thanks!
These are Megan and Grace's Easter dresses. Megan HAD to have the pink one from Wal-Mart, but I didn't mind because it is cute AND came with a sweater. Grace's, we had to go to Idaho Falls and went to the mall. The girls love it when we go to the mall! They think they are so big, or something. I paid about as much for Grace's as Megan's since it was half off, but I had to buy a sweater too, and it was almost as much as the dress!!! The price we pay to have our girls modest.

It's Spring!!! Finally!

The sun does exist! I was beginning to wonder there for a while. The girls came home from school yesterday and begged me to get their bikes out of the shed so they could ride them. I at least made them put their jackets on. But today it is in the high 50's!!! WOOHOO!! They had jackets on, but they were quickly thrown on the ground after a few minutes. I'm going to let that go. It's just so nice outside!
Grace got the Citizenship Award at school! She's quite proud, as you can see by the very, very cheesy smile. What a cutie!

Catch up!!

OK. Time to catch up. I think I have found a routine for my days between working, working out, and being mom. I think. The girls are also doing the after school activities 4 days a week, and they love it! It keeps them learning and also helps with socializing. Not that they need a whole lot since they think they are both social butterflies. Especially Meg! Little noodle!
Megan turned 6 on March 5th. I had no batteries in my camera, so I didn't get a picture of her that day. We had to wait a week for Steve to get home to go and celebrate. So last Saturday we went to Leo's for dinner and for the girls to play.
Last Friday, the girls and I went to Pocatello to watch my niece, Madison at a clogging competition. She is sooo AWESOME!! She maybe little and skinny, but that girl can move! Again, NO CAMERA!! But Joella took some and she will send me some. We got to spend time with all the kids in between Madison's performances. After she got done, (taking 1st in all she did!!!!) we went back to their hotel and went swimming. The kids had a blast!! Joella was going to jump in and swim until she felt how cool the pool water was. The kids kept jumping from the pool to the hot tub. They had fun playing together as cousins. We spent the night with them and spent a little time with them in the morning and then we had to head home because I worked that afternoon and we were planning to take Megan out for her birthday. It was a ton of fun and we loved seeing family.
On Sunday, I got a visit from one of my friends I grew up with, and she was also a roommate in college. She usually stops here once a year with her husband and 2 kids. My girls loved having them here, especially Devon. Poor Wyatt had no boys to play with. They need to come in the summer when there's more things to do. So great to see her!! Thanks for stopping Chris!!
I am planning to have a day of total Spring Cleaning, but I can't get in the mood when the wind is thrashing about aoutside and it is still cold. I am sooo ready for Spring!!
Well, I think I have caught up and will at least make my mom happy to know what has been going on. I hope!!

Sorry!!!

Sorry I have been so boring lately! I have been a little busier than before. I started working at World Gym a few weeks ago, and I am still trying to get into the new swing. It isn't as many hours as I may like, but it's good for now and I will pick up a better schedule soon when some of the college kids that work there go home. Hopefully! I have been trying to get into a workout routine too. It's very frustrating to see how far I am out of shape. GRR! But...I will overcome and get healthy and slim!! (I say that about a bazillion times a day!!)
I plan to try and go to Pocatello this weekend and go watch H.S. State Wrestling. I have about 3 boys I want to go watch, and all different schools. My cousin Jenna's son Seth from Sugar City, My friend Keni's son, Chad (who is part mine!!) from Driggs, Teton H.S., and then another friends son, Russ Nielsen from St. Anthony, South Fremont H.S. I know I can make Saturday, but I am trying to see if I can make Friday too. At least gas isn't over $4 anymore!!
Grace and Megan are doing great! I help in their class on Monday mornings, and it is nice to see they are doing well in school. THANKFULLY, they both seem to do weel in math. I hope they keep that up. I won't be much help later! I signed them up for After-School Activities an Mon, Wed, and Fri. They seem to really like it and it helps to keep them busy and active and social.
Today in the local paper, my awesome friend Jennifer Kennedy, was featured!! Somebody found out what a fantastic cook she is, and came to take her picture and some food she had prepared, and do a write up. It gave her cooking blog a big push too! Here it is:http://kennedyrecipes.blogspot.com/ It is on the side bar on here too. "Jen K. Recipes" I have tried most of the recipes on there and can vouch for their yumminess!!
I believe that is all for now. Hopefully I can get things a little more organized in my life and get some pictures up soon of recent events!

Valentines Day

Today is Valentine's Day! It is also Steve's birthday. He's 43 now. I reminded him he's officially 6 1/2 years older than me. You know, every year he thinks it's less and less funny. Hmmm...I thought your mind, sight, or hearing were the first to go, not your sense of humor!! Sorry, Steve! He thought he may make it home for the weekend so we could go out to dinner with the girls and enjoy the weekend. But instead, he is in Nevada. But he should be home on Thursday so we can get our lovely taxes done in Driggs on Friday. Life of a trucker...*sigh*
The girls had a fun party at their school Friday and brought home cards and candy. Neither one wanted to wear red or pink. Not even Megan wanted to wear pink! Not sure what that was all about.
Tonight, the girls and I are watching a movie and eating popcorn to celebrate Valentines Day.
